Captains Don and Donna Bladen
Don Bladen and Donna High were married at Brampton, ON, September 15, 1990. They were blessed with the addition of daughters Katelyn and Carolyn in 1991 and 1993. Don settled on a career in graphic arts, specializing in steel rule die manufacturing. Donna received her “Early Childhood Education” and supervised a daycare.
In 1995, Don and Donna answered the call to officership and entered Training College in Toronto as members of “Builders of The Kingdom” session, 1996-1998. First appointed to Maple Creek, SK the Bladen’s were blessed with two sons Caleb and Kristopher in 1998 and 2000. Maple Creek ministry was filled with enjoyment and the building of many great friendships! Although Don has yet to ride a bull, the family enjoyed horse back riding, branding cattle and long walks and warm summers in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. With an obvious love for the prairies, in 2003 Don and Donna were appointed to Saskatoon Temple, SK and have since enjoyed 4 years of opportunity, challenge and growth.
As a growing family, the Bladen’s enjoy camping, fishing, golfing and just about everything else that goes with summer and warm weather. The boys are avid about hockey and sports in general, while the girls appreciate everything to do with great friendship and good times!
