Each year the ET Band plays the national anthem(s) at an Edmonton Oilers’ game as part of the kick-off to the Christmas Kettle campaign. This year we played at the Oilers Bruins game on December 3. Generally, television networks use the anthem as an opportunity to break for commercials. Not this year. Apparently, CBC showed the anthems on Hockey Night in Canada.
