Why should I come on this retreat?
This retreat is a chance to step away from everyday distractions and reconnect with God and with one another. Whether you come feeling spiritually refreshed or spiritually weary, this weekend is designed to meet you where you are, offering rest, renewal, laughter, worship, and meaningful connection. You'll return home encouraged, grounded, and renewed.
Is this retreat for all ages?
Yes! This retreat is intentionally designed to be intergenerational. Children, youth, adults, and seniors all have a place here. Some sessions are shared so families and generations can worship and grow together, while others are age-specific to ensure everyone is engaged at an appropriate level.
What will kids and youth be doing?
Kids and youth will have safe, fun, and age-appropriate programming led by trusted leaders. Activities include: games, creative faith experiences (VBS), and opportunities to build friendships. Parents can relax knowing their children are cared for and having a meaningful experience of their own.
What if I don't know many people?
You are not alone, and you won't feel left out. This retreat is designed to be welcoming and relational, with natural opportunities to connect without pressure. Many people come not knowing others well, and often leave having made new friendships.
What if I'm busy or tired?
That's actually one of the best reasons to come. This retreat is not about doing more, but about slowing down. There's built-in space for rest, reflection, and simply being present. You don't have to attend everything to benefit from the weekend.
What if I can't come for the whole weekend?
While we encourage attending the full retreat for the richest experience, we understand that life happens. If you need to come late or leave early, you are still welcome. Every moment you can be there matters.
Will this be too "school-like" or intense?
The retreat is thoughtfully balanced. Expect meaningful worship, practical teaching, and plenty of fun and downtime. This is a relaxed, grace-filled environment, not an overwhelming schedule or high-pressure experience.
Is there time for rest and fun?
Absolutely. Along with worship and group sessions, there will be free time to relax or play, explore nature, enjoy seasonal camp activities, or simply sit and rest. This weekend is meant to nourish your body, mind, and spirit.
What if money is a concern?
We don't want finances to be the reason someone misses out. Subsidies and flexible payment options are available. Please speak with a leader in confidence-we want everyone who feels called to attend to be able to do so.
What will accommodations and meals be like?

The camp provides comfortable accommodations (both hotel-style and well-appointed lodges) and hearty meals &snacks. You don't need to plan or prepare food-just come and enjoy. Dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice. Kitchen amenities are available.
What should I bring?
A simple packing list will be provided, but think comfortable clothes, toiletries, bedding, maybe a game to share, and an open heart. Everything else is taken care of.
When and where is it?
Friday, April 17th @ 7pm - Sunday, April 19th approx. 2 pm. The Salvation Army Pine Lake Camp.(RV park availability is weather dependent and still not guaranteed).
Why this retreat, and why now?
In our strategic planning research and in-depth conversation, it was revealed that we want spiritual growth & development and congregational connection. We feel this addresses both of these desires. In the busyness of life, it's easy to drift. This retreat is an invitation to pause, reset, and refocus together. April is a beautiful time of renewal, and this weekend is an opportunity to invest intentionally in your faith and community.
