Mattress Program

At The Salvation Army Haven of Hope, we understand the importance of a good night’s sleep. That’s why, through our partnership with the Sleep Country Cares Program, we provide mattresses and box-springs to individuals and families in need. If you’re in need of a bed, we’re here to help.

How It Works
If you’re struggling to afford a bed, visit our office to fill out an application form. While we strive to meet the needs of everyone, please note the following important details about the Bed Program:

Mattress and Box-Spring Details:
The mattresses and box-springs provided may not match and may vary in condition. We aim to provide quality items, but availability depends on donations through Sleep Country.
Pickup Arrangements:
Delivery is not included. Applicants are responsible for arranging the pickup of their items. Once you’re notified that a bed is ready, you’ll have only a couple of days to pick it up directly from Sleep Country.
Notification Process:
You will be notified by email or phone when a bed becomes available. Please ensure your contact information is up-to-date, as notifications are typically given on short notice.
Wait Times:
Wait times can vary significantly, from one week to several months or more, depending on demand and availability.
Eligibility:
This program is intended to assist individuals who do not have the financial means to purchase a bed. We kindly ask applicants to respect the program’s purpose, as there are many individuals in urgent need.
The program is limited to one bed per household to ensure as many families as possible can benefit from this resource.
Important Notes
Applications must be completed in person at our office.
Due to the high volume of requests, there is currently a large waitlist, and we reserve the right to suspend new applications as needed.
If you or someone you know is in need of a comfortable place to sleep, contact us at 306-757-4600 or visit our office to get started.
